Welcome to the Wired Me FAQ page. Here you’ll find quick answers to common questions about our screen-free coding curriculum and how it works for homeschoolers, educators, and families.
What is Wired Me?
Wired Me is a hands-on, screen-free coding curriculum created for elementary students. We’re a homeschooling family of web developers who believe every child can learn real computer science concepts without needing a screen.
What age or grade level is this for?
We will be offering two levels:
Level 1 is designed for Grades K to 2
Level 2 is for Grades 3 to 5
Each level matches CSTA computer science standards with age-appropriate activities, vocabulary, and lessons
Do I need a computer or device to use this?
No. Our entire program is unplugged. Kids learn coding skills like sequencing, loops, and conditionals using movement, storytelling, drawing, and real-world thinking.
Is it homeschool-friendly?
Yes. We built this curriculum for our own homeschool, so it’s flexible, beginner-friendly, and works with many homeschool styles. No tech background is needed.
Can I use this in a classroom or co-op?
Yes. All lessons work well for small groups. A classroom license is available for teachers and co-op leaders who want to use the materials with multiple students.
How long does the curriculum take?
Each level is designed to last a full school year with one to two lessons per week. You can go faster or slower depending on your schedule.
